Mark Le, M.D.

DEGREES

Dr. Le earned his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where he graduated summa cum laude. He then pursued his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at the University of Iowa, Carver College of Medicine as a Dean’s Scholar.

RESIDENCY

Dr. Le completed his surgical internship at the University of Iowa, Hospitals and Clinics. Afterwards, he completed his Diagnostic Radiology residency at Wayne State University. During residency, Dr. Le collaborated on numerous research projects. His work has been presented at many local, national and international meetings. He has won multiple awards including Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) Resident In-Training Scholarship, Radiology Society of North America (RSNA) Research Travel Award, and World Conference of Interventional Oncology (WCIO) Fellow and Resident In-Training Scholarship. Dr. Le authored multiple scientific abstracts that were selected as RSNA’s Top Rated Scientific Abstract for multiple years.

FELLOWSHIP

Dr. Le completed his Vascular Interventional Radiology fellowship at the University of Texas, Health Science Center at San Antonio. He attributes his interventional skills to having access to a large case volume with an extremely complex case mix. His diverse skill set includes treatment of peripheral arterial disease, particularly revascularization of iliac, femoropopliteal and tibial segments with expertise in pedal loop reconstruction. In addition, Dr. Le has comprehensive experience in vascular and body interventional radiology including bland embolization, radioembolization, chemoembolization, microwave ablation and cryoablation of primary and metastatic oncological disease; and complex hepatobiliary and urogenital treatments such as transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS), uterine fibroid embolization (UFE), percutaneous nephrostomy tube placement and antegrade/retrograde ureteral stent placement.

Irene Pocasangre, RN, MSN, FNP-C

Irene Pocasangre is a highly skilled and experienced Family Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in vascular surgery, urgent care, critical care, and perioperative services. She has provided comprehensive patient care in diverse settings, including hospitals, urgent care centers, and outpatient vascular clinics.

Currently, Irene specializes in vascular surgery consults, perioperative assessments, and post-operative evaluations. She also has experience in urgent care, diagnosing and treating a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, as well as in critical care.

Irene holds a Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner focus and is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Nursing degree. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and holds multiple certifications.

Dedicated to patient-centered care, Irene combines clinical expertise with leadership experience, having served as a charge nurse, preceptor, and supervisor in various medical settings. Her passion for healthcare extends to quality improvement, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance patient outcomes.

Tyler Ryan, PA-C

Tyler Ryan is a board-certified physician assistant at Southern California Vascular Institute who is serving the Greater Los Angeles region. He has a strong passion for providing quality healthcare to all patients he encounters.

Tyler earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of California in San Diego, followed by his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the Western University of Health Sciences in 2016.

After receiving his degree, Tyler joined Southern California Vascular Institute, which specializes in treating lower extremity vascular disease. Tyler has advanced training and a specialty in identifying and managing lower extremity vascular disease.

Tyler has also continued to work part-time in urgent care where he continues to provide needed care to the community.
